MARCH 25 Part 2

Zone Conference

The best part of Zone Conference this transfer is that while we were eating lunch, Sister Marsh announced that while we waited to have our interview, we would watch movies.  In unison, all of the 18 Elders shouted, ``LION KING!!!!!``  I have never seen a group of people so pumped at the idea of watching The Lion King.  We naturally did NOT watch the Lion King, which was a bummer, but we started watching a bunch of new safety videos that the church is making just for missionaries, which was cool too.

GOOD FOOD GOOD TIMES

We went out for churrasco with Cxxxxxs. He just recently joined the church.

We bought maracuja milkshakes. I love my companion. Her only fault so far is that she is a UofU fan.

Pão de queijo on the street

The Pedreira

We went with Wxxxxxy and Cxxxxa and their kids to some cliffs near their house, but it was an adventure to get there.  First, we walked through a field with a bunch of horses that are apparently not domesticated, because Cxxxxa kept skirting around all of them and telling her kids not to run.  We managed to get past that, and started walking through waist high grass, when Cxxxxa and all of her kids suddenly started running, and yelling for us to run too, so that was terrifying.  I still don't really know what we were running from, maybe Cxxxxa just wanted to get there faster.  We made it through the grass, and Cxxxxy, their oldest daughter, announced that the 'bridge' that we would have taken had fallen into the river, so we´d have to go the long way around.  

Long story short, we managed to get there, and it was really pretty.  I got eaten alive by mosquitoes, but I had a lot of fun.

Street Soccer!

We went to go teach Jxxxa, and found her with all the other kids of the street playing futbol.  The goals were just caution cones, and they had to run to the sides every time a car passed by, but it was really fun.  One kid, who was like 6, announced that he had money, disappeared, and reappeared a few minutes later with 2L of guaraná.  It was super funny because every single one of the other kids started running to get some first, and the poor kid just started sprinting back up the street to get away.
